Health Impact from City Noise

When more people move to the city, more people start to suffer from the city noise, especially from the heavy traffic and construction due to the city’s convenience and development. The dense urban environmental cities can have background noise high enough to cause the hearing loss after year or even decades of exposure. The loud noise also has adverse impact on other health aspects, like cardiovascular diseases. The example city, Chelsa in Massachusetts is dealing with the noise pollution due to the work structure and commercial sources. Its high immigration ratio and high percentage below the poverty line make the residents hard to be heard for changing the current situation of the loud noise issue.
