Mozhgon Rajaee successfully defended her PhD dissertation yesterday. Her dissertation, titled “Mercury exposure, cardiovascular health, and pulmonary function in a small-scale gold mining community in Northeast Ghana,” helped fill gaps in the literature related to the health impacts of small-scale gold mining. Mozhgon Rajaee receives Warren A. Cook Award
PhD student Mozhgon Rajaee was recently bestowed the Warren A. Cook Award, which is given each year to a PhD student who has made significant contributions to industrial hygiene research. Mozhgon’s thesis is titled “Mercury exposure, cardiovascular health and pulmonary function in a Ghanaian small-scale gold mining community.” Congratulations, Mozhgon!
