Qualified occupational hygienists fill a critical need worldwide. Globally, about 2.3 million lives per year are lost due to work-related accidents and illnesses. According to data from the International Occupational Hygiene Association (IOHA), 44,000 qualified occupational hygienists are needed globally, especially in the top 10 emerging economies, among them India and China.
