PhD candidate Xin Zhang discussed noise exposure among e-waste recycling workers at the National Hearing Conservation Association (NHCA) conference.
Xin successfully presented an analysis using time series data to show how heart rate changes with noise exposure. The analysis demonstrated the significant non-auditory impact of occupational noise and calls for proper hearing protections, especially for informal e-waste recycling workers.
